MORE ETHICS Questions emerge about Multnomah County sheriff candidate SURPRISE - YUP!, BRUCE MCCAIN!

By Nikole Hannah-Jones, The Oregonian sheriff's office in April in which he agreed not to return to work for the county for two years.
While the contract doesn't prohibit
McCain from running, his campaign for sheriff raises questions among some county staff who question if McCain would be violating the contract's terms if he is elected and starts drawing a $135,000 annual county paycheck.

McCain seeks to take over the remainder of retired Sheriff Bob Skipper's term and serve the new four-year term that starts in January 2011.

Skipper stepped down last week because he did not pass a required law enforcement certification exam. Lt. Dan Staton,
who just took over for Skipper, will serve until the May 18 election for both terms.

McCain, Staton, retired Undersheriff Tom Slyter and Corrections Sgt. Muhammad Ra'oof plan to run for both terms.

McCain, who retired in April as a captain after nearly 26 years in the Sheriff's Office, says being elected sheriff wouldn't break his contract.

"I don't know why they are even connected," he said. "The contract says I won't apply for a job and the county won't offer me a job. Running for office is not seeking employment."

Bruce McCain wants to be Multnomah County's next sheriff. Yet McCain also took $25,780 in an early retirement package from the
RUNNING FOR OFFICE ISN'T SEEKING EMPLOYMENT? REALLY? YOU SIMPLE TOAD THATS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS LOL!! YOU CAN'T REALLY BE THAT STUPID!
The situation is unusual because the county rarely offers early retirement packages. (BUT THEY WANTED BRUCE OUT OF THERE! ) It hadn't done so since the 1990s.
But Skipper,  says he sees it as a definite violation of the contract for a man who has skirted the ethics line before.  (SKIRTED THE ETHICS LINE=HAS NO ETHICS OR MORAL COMPASS)
McCain was once Sheriff Bernie Giusto's top aide and became Giusto's lawyer while drawing a county paycheck. McCain's unusual role as Giusto's attorney became a source of concern among the sheriff's staff and his elected colleagues. Giusto was later forced to retire last year from the county under pressure about ethics and management lapses.

Skipper says McCain had lost credibility with the staff, and  when Skipper  took over for Giusto, he reassigned McCain to a lower-profile position.

(SOUNDS LIKE MCCAIN KISSED ALOT OF ASS AND EVERYONE RESENTED HIM FOR IT GO FIGGER)
Earlier this week, Skipper said he was surprised to learn McCain had filed for sheriff

Bruce McCain withdraws from Multnomah County Sheriff's race after losing key endorsement. HIS OWN MEN!

IT WAS A HUGE SETBACK FOR THE YELLOW TOOTHED ASSKISSER!

Bruce McCain withdraws from Multnomah County Sheriff's race after losing key endorsement...FROM HIS OWN MEN! Pretty freaking pathetic to work somewhere for 25 ish years and the men who work for you don't think enough about you to support your run for Sheriff (again) lol. LEWWWWSER!
Multnomah County sheriff’s candidate Bruce McCain ran on a corrections platform. So he decided to call his campaign quits after he failed to garner the endorsement of the sheriff’s corrections deputies union.
McCain, who retired from the Sheriff's Office in April,
withdrew from the race today after learning last night that the union endorsed interim Sheriff Dan Staton.

“It’s really straightforward,” McCain said today. “The corrections union, I was banking on that being my core group of support. Losing the corrections vote frankly was more harmful to me than any other endorsement.”  (YOU THINK?)McCain says he placed first in the union’s initial vote, but didn’t get the necessary majority. Staton placed second, followed distantly by candidates Corrections Sgt. Muhammad Ra’oof and retired Undersheriff Tom Slyter.

Almost a third of the union members who voted didn’t choose to endorse anyone in the first ballot. But in the run-off between McCain and Staton, McCain only picked up nine votes while Staton picked up 40. Staton comes from the law enforcement side of the office.

“I very much respect their decision,” McCain said. “I am not bitter. Disappointed, yes, but that’s their decision and it’s very hard to lead an agency without internal support.”

McCain was widely considered Staton’s main competition in the race. McCain said he has no plans to endorse another candidate.

Voters on May 18 will select a sheriff to fulfill retired Sheriff Bob Skipper’s term and for a new 4-year term that begins 2011.

The People Bruce Can't Bully, He Sues Instead! McCain v. Multnomah County #1

McCain v. Multnomah County #1 (YES, Our "cowardly zero" (Bruce) sued them/us more than 1x, Can't imagine why no one will elect him to anything important!

Not to worry Multnomah County, they say when you represent yourself you have a fool for an attorney and of course with Bruce that old saying could not have been more accurate. He Lost - Summary Judgment for the Defendants (Us)

Multnomah County Says: "Anybody but Bruce McCain for Sheriff"

Anybody but Bruce McCain for Sheriff

Jesse Cornett

I was dismayed this morning when I hopped online and noticed none other than Bruce McCain had purchased an ad on Blue Oregon. That would be sort of like me running for office and seeking an ad on Oregon Catalyst (which ain’t gonna happen).
I mentioned McCain on a previous post. Here’s what I wrote:
You might remember good ole Bruce as the promoter in chief of Bernie when he was in a pinch. He served both as an internal lackey and and external lawyer. Maybe if he gets elected, he can have Derrick Foxworth named as his designee so the long awaited punchline will continue to elude us. Or Lon Mabon.
I go on to say:
McCain had an op-ed published in the Oregonian this week where he blasts Skipper. Showing his true ethical colors, McCain neither disclosed that he was defeated for Sheriff by Skipper in the past nor that he was planning to run in the primary next year apparently against Skipper if needed.

Let's Talk About Bruce! - The "Best Eff Off of to Bruce of the Year"

Today while reading through some of my favorite conservative facebook haunts and reminding myself what a truly waste of skin and space Bruce is (by reading some of his patented assaults on the dignity of people better than he is) I stumbled upon this comment by one of his intended victims which Slapped our favorite 'Bitch Boy' down into his place better than any others I have read so far (and there are alot of them). This smack down of Police Brutality Bruce gets the award for best example of someone putting this loser in his place to date. (Please note that this is a travelling trophy that can be won by anyone at anytime so don't give up yet!)

"Bruce…I am sitting here trying to think of some good reason why anyone would take your advice about running for AND WINNING…elected office when it’s something you don’t have any experience in …Maybe you can explain to me what you have accomplished that makes you an expert on a topic that you were never able to successfully do yourself? Clearly the only thing you have the resume to be an authority on is LOSING elections?
Maybe I should take your advice after all Bruce ... No one knows or understands the stinging pain and humiliation of defeat in a political arena better than you do... you could barely get elected dog catcher ...errr I mean to the school board ...
Let’s face it Bruce every time the public has had the chance to weigh in on how they felt about you …they have found you to be woefully without merit and wanting!
But let’s recap your  legacy of losing in  elected politics Bruce:
How many elections have you lost now Bruce??
How many times have you been soundly rejected by the citizens of Oregon?
How many times have you been soundly rejected by the citizens of your County?
How many times have you been soundly rejected by the citizens of your own House District?
Actually maybe it would be a shorter list if you told me how many offices you haven't run for!
Tell you what Bruce ...when YOU finally accomplish something other than feeding at the public trough or find some way to get yourself elected to a real public office THEN you might have something to contribute to others in the mean time you are nothing more than an overfed yapping lap dog representing nothing but losing.
Until then ...the bars (bar) are full of losers, Would have’s…Should have's and Could haves Just like YOU!  Rest assured if I need the advice and input of someone with your resume and track record of defeat and rejection then you will be the first person I call in the mean time please find something you know something about and pretend to be an expert in that and leave politics to those of us who want to serve the public and not just serve themselves and feed their overinflated ego at public expense …which is all you have ever done your entire life!
